St Kateri Tekakwitha.
Attractions & Amusements in Ontario picture - St Kateri Tekakwitha was a young woman who belonged to the Mohawk tribe and, when she converted to Christianity, turned away from the sometimes barbaric and cruel practices of the times of her native people. She was stricken with small pox and was horribly scarred, however, after her death while still a young woman, her face became beautiful. With this chaplet we include the beautiful Litany of the Lily of the Mohawks, as Kateri came to be called. This is a perfect gift for any young boy or girl about to reach the age when he or she will be faced with choosing between society's accepted practices and the moral teachings of our faith, also wonderful for an admirer of Native Americans and their history.
