Following on from our visit to Istanbul in 2004 we headed down the Aegean coast to Seluck and the magnificent ruins at Ephesus. For archaeological ruins, Turkey is unsurpassed. But it isn't all about ruins and old civilisations. Turkey is magnificent, lively and friendly. There were so many little incidents like the busload of locals who made room on their seat on a very crowded bus from Olympos to Antalya; although we shared no common language it was still a lively discussion.
