The Citizen of Emona. This gilt bronze Roman statue was discovered buried in the park in central Ljubljana. It was dated to the late 3rd early 4th century and was for a time suspected of being a statue of Constantine the Great. It was eventually identified as a generic representation of the citizens of Emona, the Roman name for Ljubljana.
