Sunken Gardens is located in Lincoln, Nebraska. It provides a quiet introspective area for reflection and solitude. A secluded spot at the top, looking down onto the gardens is a particularly private retreat.

The gardens were built during the Depression Era (1930-31) and provided jobs for some 200 people. Recently, the Garden Pavilion and statues were added and beds replanted which has provided approximatly 50% more color with plantings. Pictures were taken both before and after the most recent renovations.
