I returned to the Eastern Sierras for the second time in the fall of 2006. (See http://www.worldisround.com/articles/86350/index.html for images made during my first visit, in the fall of 2004.) I explored several new areas around the towns of Lone Pine and Bishop, as well as visiting Mono Lake for the first time. The highlight of the trip was a return visit to the haunted ghost town of Bodie. This time, we obtained permission to shoot there from before dawn to after sunset, an opportunity adding beautiful light to my images.
