Crater of Viti on Krafla volcano Iceland picture - The road up to Krafla is full of strange sights. The water that flows down in the hot stream beside the roadd almost appears to be glowing light blue(there is a large amount of dissolved minerals that give it a milky blue colour). Its also strange to see steam evapourating off a stream. The water is so hot here that they have a geothermal power station that provides the area with electricity. There is some story about the old one having blown up during an eruption...or something to that effect.
