Ice from the freezer appears white because all the little air bubbles in it diffract light shining through it. When ice is compressed (in this case by the weight of the overhead glacier) it takes on a blue tint. The brown and black colours you can see passing through the iceberg is rock which has been ground up by the glacier as it flowed towards the sea.
