The equestrian statue of Andrew Jackson, who was the seventh president of the United States, is in Lafayette Square on the west side of the White House. [There are three identical statues - the other two are at the State Capitol in Nashville, and in French Quarter’s Jackson Square in New Orleans.] The Washington Monument is visible in the background.
