Washington DC, misc, fall 2006

This is the 3rd & last journal in my Washington DC series. It includes Arlington National Cemetery, the historic Union Station, some historic federal buildings in the downtown area called The Federal Triangle, & a few miscellaneous photos that didn't fit anywhere else ;o)

Thanks, Lorraine, I was in DC recently (Oct 06) and didn't take any photos, but spent most time visiting the various wonderful museums! The National Portrait Gallery, is my favorite, it has been greatly expanded and improved, and even in 5 visits, I felt I had only "scratched the surface", it is SOO wonderful!! I suppose one can't take pictures in there....?

This is a very interesting and informative tribute to the huge yet tasteful buildings that one admires throughout the "Federal Triangle". I like your detailed article, which enabled you to give brief captions and appropriate links for many of the photos: together I'm sure they provide all the information that anyone could ever desire.
