The Rotunda, located in the center of the building, is where the original Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and Bill of Rights are displayed. They also exhibit other important American historical documents such as the Louisiana Purchase and the Emancipation Proclamation, as well as collections of photography and other historically and culturally significant American artifacts. The building has 21 floors of stacks for storage of books, documents, photographs, and film.
