(ICC)building, at 12th & Constitution Ave, was designed by San Francisco architect, Arthur Brown, Jr. & built between 1932 and 1934. It is located is in the area called the Federal Triangle, an area just north of the National Mall that stretches from the White House to the Capitol Building and contains a number of key Federal office and Government buildings. The Federal Triangle project, established in 1926, was the largest building program ever undertaken by the government. It was the first federally funded urban redevelopment project of this scope and, as such, provided a model for city planning in the 1930's through 1950's.
