Sankaracharya of Joshimath, Hindus has four major religious centers in four directions of the country, Joshimath in north, Puri in east, Kanchi in south and Dwarka in west. Four Sankaracharya heads the different centers and they are supposed to be the authority of Hinduism like pope in Vatican.
