The attraction takes 8 minutes to pass through from start to finish, and it's more of a fun experience than a scary one. In fact, anyone going into the Haunted Mansion expecting to be frightened is in for a disappointment because the effects within the Haunted Mansion are mostly achieved through Holography, and some good old fashioned Smoke and Mirrors, with the atmosphere being kept most definitely light hearted.
