The sculpture of the bronze doors was done by my great uncle John Angel. They are very beautiful and I am fortunate to have a full picture of them. He also did some of the figures inside the church.

Thanks a lot, Lorraine, the history bits were very interesting! The next time you go, you might want to visit the Dahesh Museum, which, as I recall, is about across the st. from the Trump Tower, I think it's one of NYC's newer museums. Also, there is the Neue Gallerie, of Austrian and German paintings, from Vienna.
