We have just got back from a week in the Amazon Basin including staying in the jungle and the pampas grasslands. We took a combination of bus and jeep to get to the jungle, 15 butt-jarring hours from La Paz, on what starts as officially the World's Most Dangerous Road (locally known as Death Road) with over 100 fatalities annually on a 2-hour stretch of narrow gravel road cut into the cliff.
