In August 2006, we set off with our 8-year-old son Andy for a 3 week self-drive camping safari in Namibia. After collecting our roof tent-equipped 4 x 4 rental truck in Windhoek, and mindful of the large sign taped to the dash reminding us to “Keep Left”, we began what turned out to be a 5000 km tour.
