We travelled to the RIU Merengue for our winter 2002 two week vacation. We were overall very pleased with this resort. The room was not all that great - it was very basics but looked very nice. The maid did a good job keeping it cleaned. The bathroom had the best water pressure and the hotest water we have found in the DR so far. We really liked the set up of this resort with the little villas with only 4 rooms per villa floor.
