Turckheim was the second stop on our tour of Wine Route towns. Because there was no bus or train service from Eguisheim to Turckheim, we took a taxi. It dropped us off right at Turenne Square in the heart of the old town which dates back to 742. Turckheim seemed much more alive than Eguisheim. Consequently, we preferred it much more than Eguisheim. Turckheim was a little bigger and had much more going on, with most of its stores open.
