Albuquerque has been the hub city of all of my trips to New Mexico. It sits on the banks of the Rio Grande River and gently slopes down toward the river. It is a city filled with many interesting things to see. Old Route 66 is very much a part of its history and there is much nostalgia along to the old route. Each time I have been there I have also gone to Old Town - the historic district. I have a saying: "Shop in Sante Fe, but buy in Albuquerque."
