Spring of 2004 we decided to take a week's vacation. We started pricing last minute deals out of our area nd found it was cheaper to head down south then stay any place local. So we booked a last minute deal to Puerto Plata Village in the Playa Dorado resort area. The resort was rated 3 stars and for the most part it was, but it did step it up with regards to food and service. Both were very good at this resort.
