The Mirabell Garden, which originally was a part of the Mirabell Palace, is open to the public at no charge. Clearly, and for good reason, this garden is a popular place, and yet, despite that, because of its size , we never felt crowded. Furthermore, the garden is alined in such a way that the 'Festung Hohensalzburg' (Fortress Hohensalzburg) is almost always visible.
