Here are some photos from Chile´s 1st region - including the towns of Arica and Iqique and the beautiful Parque Nacional de Lauca which borders Bolivia and contains the magnificent Lago Chungara at 4500 metres and the Salar de Surire with many animals and birds at 4300 metres. Unfortunately, the cluds obscured many of the best views, but we were able to still see many mountains and animals in the Altiplano and see the amazing change from Andes to Altiplano to Desert ranges to Dry desert and finally the sea on the descent from ...
