A view from the inner enclosure wall (it really is a gallery, not a simple wall) to the sanctuary from the south: a "mandapa" (antechamber) connected by an "antarala" to the "prasat" (the tower sanctuary, or prang in Thai). The pineapple cone shaped top may remind the visitor of Angkor Vat, but it might be the other way around, that this is the model for the famous towers of Angkor Wat, which was built under Jayavaraman VI's second successor, Suryavarman II.
