This is likely to be a work in progress for a while. It's funny how we tend to ignore the things that are around us everyday. Over the years I've taken hundreds of casual shots of Perth and Western Australia but then completely ignored them or misplaced them. I've started to look through the piles of photos I still have to find something representative of this enormous state (which I've only seen a fraction of). I've been asking myself "if I was a tourist, what would I want to see? What would I photograph?" When I compare to what I actually have photographed I'm surprised. Like the shots of Kalbarri Gorge, which were taken over 10 year ago I guess. We drove the two hours up a dirt track to get there with a film camera which had only four photos left in it, without even checking. Without spare film! What were we thinking back then?? Amateurs!!!
