The route of the Cathars (Camí dels Bons Homes) is 189 kilometre itinerary -tourist route betwen the sanctuary of Queralt (Catalonia-Spain) and the castle of Montsegur (Ariège-France)- which can be toured on feet, horse ridingand in the main parts by mountain bike. The route of the Cathars, classified as a Long Distance Trail GR-107, offers the possibility of following the migration routes used by the Cathars during the 12th and 13th centuries, when they fled persecution by the Crusade and the Inquisition. The route of the Cathars traces the footprints of Catharism through mediaeval villages, Romanesque churches and castles.
