Photo: Cerdanya Street. The Ruta del Segadors is also known as El Camí de Cerdanya (The Route to Cerdanya) because it starts at Gósol and leads to Bellver de Cerdanya. In times past, this route was used by reapers, mule drivers, Catalan militias, highwaymen, musicians and smugglers. In 1906, it was also travelled by the painter Pablo Ruiz Picasso, during his stay in Gósol. This historical route, which crosses the Serra de Cadí (Cadi ridge), is now well signposted and can be walked in seven or eight hours. On the journey, the traveller has the opportunity to discover some of the unique landscapes and fauna of the Pyrenees in the Parc Natural del Cadi-Moixeró. In winter, the same trip can be made on skis or snowshoes. It is also possible to do the route over two days, as it is possible to spend the night at the Cèsar August Torras mountain refuge. http://www.geocities.com/genispp/ingles.html
