Under the leadership of al-Mansur, the Andalusian troops penetrated into the Norther Christian kingdoms to plunder the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, which bells were brought to Córdoba. After crossing the Pyrenees and penetrating in French territory, al-Mansur was defeated by the emperor Charles, who stopped the spreading of muslims by Europe.
