My rich Uncle sent me on a free cruise to the Persian Gulf in the spring and summer of 2005, which included a week or so in lovely Aqaba, Jordan, along the Red Sea. Due to security concerns, we were restricted to the pier area and to 4 hotels located in Aqaba. These concerns were valid, as a group of Al Qaeda terrorists fired some rockets at the USS Queerbarge(Kearsarge) and the USS Ashland, docked next to us, as well as Israel.
