These photos were taken in late February, early March in various parks along Boston's Emerald Necklace. The Emerald Necklace (http://www.emeraldnecklace.org/index.cgi) was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead as a ring of parks that was to surround the city of Boston. It begins at the Boston Common and Public Garden, includes the greenery that runs down Comm Ave, borders the Muddy River through Brookline, then winds around to the Arnold Arboreteum and ends with Franklin Park.
