The Danum Valley Conservation Area is one of the last remaining preserves of primary lowland rainforest in Asia, Within its 438 square kilometers is to be found a rich diversity of animal and plant life.

Danum Valley is located 80km inland from Lahad Datu on Sabah's east coast.
