This is one of several original buildings in this small town that was erected in the 1800s. The Champion Oak tree has provided shade for this dwelling for many decades. The Coffin Shop was originally used to showcase coffins made by the builder Edward Kring who is credited for building many of the homes and businesses in this town. One would come here to pick their material and wood for their coffin which would be custom built to their size and expense specifications.
