Upon arrival, while sitting in a lounge area to check in (rather than standing at a reception check in desk), guests are treated to a well presented fresh pastry and cool drink. For our morning check in, we received a special ginger drink and "muffin". Afternoon guests sometimes get champagne, or other beverage. The pastry chef seems to take great delight in preparing unique baked goods. I have seen brownies cut in heart shapes, and other creative pastries.
