The flowering trees in Japan are very pretty. These photos were taken in March 2007 in the Tokyo area. Ume (plum) and Momo (peach) trees bloom 2-3 weeks earlier than the Sakura (cherry) trees do. Asakusa is a famous tourist place, known for it's temple, in central Tokyo. Okutama is technically in Tokyo, although it's in the mountainous western part. Kawasaki is slightly south of Tokyo, between Tokyo and Yokohama.
