In the middle of a long, cold, snowy Southwestern winter, it was a dream-come-true to venture south to Mexico in March, 2007. As first time visitors to Mexico, we felt that luck was on our side by staying at The Royal Decameron. Although the resort was beautiful,(and at the time we stayed there, visited by approximately 90% Canadians)the welcoming guide encouraged us to "get off the resort". He said, "Mount Tremblant is not Quebec...Whistler is not B.C., and the Royal Decameron is not Mexico..." Truer words were
