These are photos from a walk around the tidal basin in downtown Washington DC during the Cherry Blossom festival. The festival usually starts at the beginning of April and goes on for roughly 2 weeks. There are fireworks and other events, and also just lots of opportunities to walk around and see the trees in bloom.
