Named after Captain Cook's first landfall in Queensland on 24th of May 1770 - this lovely coastal town between Bundaberg and Gladstone is still fairly quiet and unspoilt. While nearby Agnes Water seems to be increasingly urbanised, it is nice to see 1770 retain most of it's orignal charm.
