Soweto was the first of my day tours in the Gauteng province of South Africa. Many people tour Soweto prior to departing for other parts of South Africa. Soweto, which stands for South-Western Township, is probably the most well known township in South Africa. The contrast of Soweto is surprising - million rand homes to squatter camps to beautiful museums.
