Annie, a woman from Colorado that I met at the Rishikesh ashram, and I reconnected in Kathmandu. She and I, and Fleur (a Dutch woman she trekked with) and Raj (their Annapurna guide) rented motorcycles and toured the Kathmandu Valley for two days. I was happy to be a passenger on the back of Fleur's bike rather than spending many hours on local buses to see the sights. Kathmandu traffic is a bit hairy (and the air is horribly polluted), but once we got out of the city the ride was pleasant.
