I spent 12 days hiking to Everest Base Camp and back from Lukla. The standard trekking routes in Nepal are well-worn and most trekkers stop in the same villages along the way so you see the same people day after day. The village teahouses that you sleep at are usually old, cold wooden buildings with small simple rooms with just 2 beds.
