<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> mb3 - this is the Meerabai Temple<br> Sightseeing in Rajasthan picture - for sure. I am not altogether certain about the other ones ;o) It was also built by Maharana Kumbha &#38; later given to Mira Bai when she needed a place to worship Lord Krishna, the main subject of her poems. Meera, who was born in 1504, was a poetess, saint &#38; ardent devotee of Shyam, the dark Lord Krishna, since she was a child. A marriage was arranged to the heir-apparent of Chittorgarh (Prince Bhojraj) in 1516 when she was barely 14 years old. She became a widow ten years later &#38; was forced to leave Chittor because the royal family could not accept her unconventional behaviour. She wandered through India and made pilgrimages to places associated with Krishna, &#38; devoted her life to prayer and worship. A picture or her &#38; of Krishna have been placed here to commemorate this daughter of the fort whose popular devotional songs are still sung throughout India. </div></nolayer></noembed>
