During my Buenos Aires trip, I took a day trip to Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay. Colonia is Uruguay's UNESCO world heritage site. It has a blend of Spanish and Portuguese colonial architecture. The whole town is very charming, peaceful and quaint and it is a good escape from the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires. Originally I planned on visiting Montevideo and Punta del Este but I did not have time...next time hopefully!
