Santiago de Chile was my final stop for my first South American journey and is one of my top favourite cities on my list. During summer time, it is sunny with beautiful blue sky almost everyday as Santiago enjoys mediterranean climate. Santiago does have its faults, like all cities - many gritty concrete highrises, pollution etc, but its vibrancy, busy streets, friendly and helpful people, excellent seafood, safe and clean metro, and great mix of European, Spanish colonial and ultra modern architecture make Santiago one of my favourite cities in the world.
