Maipo Canyon is my last article on my December 2003 trip to South America. After a few days in Santiago, I wanted to see some beautiful nature surrounding Santiago. My local guide Roberto suggested me to go to San Jose de Maipo. I was not disappointed. I read my Fodor's guidebook and took the local bus all the way to San Jose de Maipo. Then I went onto the charming village of San Alfonso before taking the local bus back to Santiago. Overall, another lovely day trip. Please note that these images were scanned.
