Lisbon was my first stop for my second backpacking journey to Europe in May/June 2005. The Portuguese capital is very captivating, particularly its friendly people, old if slightly decaying old buildings and its white/black Portuguese tiles that adorn many sidewalks and square. The food was good as well. I loved the sardines, sausages and bacalhau. Definitely another favourite city of mine. It reminds me so much of the grand Latin American cities as well - beautiful, friendly and slightly decaying. I had great weather throughout my journey and met an interesting Spanish-Brazilian guy who told me many stories regarding Brazil and practised Spanish with me. These photos were scanned by Wal Mart when I developed the photos.
