USA - Monterey & Carmel, California
|
My former colleague Troy recommended Monterey and Carmel to me when I told him I was going to San Francisco. It was a relaxing day trip. The coastline was very nice and a highlight of my journey. We stopped for lunch and I opted for some very good Mexican food. Then we went to Monterey. The tour of Monterey was done mainly on the bus and I did not take any photos. Monterey downtown had quite a few Spanish revival buildings that I liked. Next stop was the Cannery Row. I did not have the time to go to the world class Monterey Aquarium. Then we drove through some very expensive and secluded homes before going to Carmel. Carmel was indeed a pretty little town with art galleries and expensive shops. The buildings in Carmel showed some Spanish influence with tiled roofs and whitewashed walls. Overall another pleasant outing. Please note that these photos were scanned.
