Machu Picchu ranks as one of the most spectacular sites in Peru and it is one of Peru's UNESCO world heritage sites. The mountain setting is spectacular, and the Inca architecture is solid, unique and stunning. The terraces are awe inspiring, built right at the cliffs that are scary just to look at. In addition, there are many cute llamas running around the site. Since we stayed at Aguas Calientes the night before, we could go to Machu Picchu almost the first thing in the morning.
