Salt - this is the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of our trip to Karwar , not that it is anything extraordinary to find salt near the sea but somehow this word seems to have created an impression on my mind, maybe because I just loved the gentle sea breeze laden with salt or maybe because I had swallowed large quantities of the sea water trying to be the "big fish" or maybe because the whole experience had a bit of salt ,in some way or the other ....

Devbagh , a beach island situated near the confluence of the Kali river and the Arabian sea. The island has cottages equipped with modern day amenities , but the best part is the beach ... an idle walk on the shores as the waves kiss your feet was always a dream to me before this. Words wont suffice to describe the beauty of the sunset here , its absolutely magical , the romantics would simply love it .... the sharp contrast in colours will really whet our painting senses , all in all an amazing place to be when you are really fed up with all the malls and pubs , which is all an over populated city like Bangalore has to offer ...

I guess I could not have asked more as I was with friends who were so much fun to be with , I guess it was the ideal signature to a fully satisfying journey .... hence I used the title "Salato" (Salty) experience ... which had been tasteless before this ....
