My second day trip in Cairns was the Daintree river and Cape Tribulation. It rained quite a bit during our visit but the trip was still fun. The tropical rainforest was very lush. We even saw a wild Cassowary. Our tour guide said that it was very rare to see one on the tour. We had a very nice Australian barbeque (done on flat pan iron grill) with billy tea. I got a chance to chat with an aboriginal artist during the billy tea demostration. We visited a Kangaroo sanctuary and it was my first time to get close to kangaroos. I guessed ... (more)
