So the next morning I got up at the crack of dawn and got onto a shuttle bus to the train station to get onto the famous TransAlpine train that runs from the east coast of the South Island from Christchurch, to the coastal town of Greymouth on the west coast.

The TransAlpine is renouned as being one of the greatest short rail journeys in the world, with stunning scenery for the duarion of the train ride. When choosing the Activity in the Travel Categories for this album, I found it difficult to just pick one, because there's a bit of everything in here, countryside, forests, lakes, mountains, gorges, national parks and rivers. So I just kept it as Scenery.
