My first step-in into this wet and moisturized wonderland of nature happened at a starry night, hung out with a lantern-sized and rounded moon. I remembered of driving thru through Temerloh from Karak highway of Malaysia, entering into this isolated and remote land cut through by the smaller roads that lead us to Bera Lake. The off-road from the highway consumed almost one hour drive, by maneuvering through several turns and junctions before reaching the small trail entrance, displayed by a Tasik Bera signboard. It was not a complicated and wild drive, with the proper road signs pointing to Tasik Bera sited at the intersections. By venturing with care thru several sloppy sections of trail, we finally reach the Persona Lake Resort, where the arrival was patiently awaited by the resort owner. The lake concealed bashfully behind the dark shade of tree dense, reflecting sparkles of ray from the moon. Even though the resort appears to be isolated and hushed, the peaceful and unruffled surrounding environment has immediately drove our attention. A fruitful spending of 2 days 1 night at Bera Lake proves its attraction to visitors. Bera Lake has a well-reserved and undisturbed flora and fauna representing the unique wetland characteristic of tropical. Jungle-trekking, canoeing, visits to Orang Asli Semelai village, river-crossing, lake touring adventure by boat will keep visitors away from boredom. Besides, there are also choices of fishing, strolling, and photography activities around the mystique lake. The gorgeous sunset view from the chalet will also add a soothe ointment of relaxation to the environment, further developing the holidays atmosphere. The friendliness of the resort personnel, boat man will make yourself feel more comfortable. Being one of the biggest natural lake in Peninsular Malaysia with well-preserved wetland wilds life, Tasik Bera is definitely worth a visit.
